ABOUT THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN WAKESURF OPEN

The Third Annual Rocky Mountain Wakesurf Open finds it’s way to the shores of Middle Inlet, Pineview Reservoir in the high mountain Ogden Valley situated in the little Hamlet of Huntsville, UT. Bookended by Snow Basin and Powder Mountain ski resorts, Pineview’s sandy beaches set the stage for this World Series of Wakesurfing Tour Stop, GOLD Event, and World Championship Qualifier! Offering an overload of outdoor recreational opportunities in the surrounds and the dynamic offerings of Ogden, Utah just down the road, this has quickly become a favorite for the touring competitors and gives the region’s riders of all levels an opportunity to compete on wakesurfing’s biggest stage!

We are pleased that the 2018 season will see 35 competitions in 10 countries making it the biggest World Series of Wake Surfing yet! The organizers of the Rocky Mountain Wakesurf Open are proud to be a highly anticipated event in its third year, Gold rated and one of only 10 World Series of Wakesurfing Tour stops in the expanded qualifier model.

The tenured sports event production team of Club Rec and All-Actionsports.com have teamed up with the biggest retailer in Wake surfing Boardco.com and arguably the best surf boats on the planet Centurion to bring this World class event to Utah and will be hosting the 2018 World Wakesurfing Championships at Pineview’ Cemetery Point from 9/6-9/8, 2018 for the first time ever in Utah.

 

ABOUT THE COMPETITION AND DESTINATION EVENT

The mission of the CWSA is to help promote the sport of wake surfing, provide recommended consistent and fair standards governing wake surfing events and tournaments, and to provide effective communication regarding wake surfing events and significant issues of interest to stakeholders in the wake surfing industry.

The Purpose of the CWSA is:

  • To promote high standards of conduct within the sport.
  • To foster fair and consistent regulations and standards within the sport.
  • To engage in any lawful activities that will tend to develop and promote the sport of wakesurfing worldwide for the best interests of the sport, any membership, and the general public.
  • To conduct successful wake surf events that foster the growth of the sport of wake surf.
  • Promote and maintain good relations within the wake surf industry to promote economic well-being through commerce.
  • To encourage safety in all aspects of wake surfing.
